Dryer runs but sensor dry cycles run too long and over-dry clothes

Safety first: Unplug the dryer before accessing wiring.

• Clean sensor bars: Remove any residue from the sensor bars with rubbing alcohol.
• Inspect for bridging: Ensure no metal objects or conductive debris are touching both bars at once.
• Check harness: Inspect the sensor harness for pinched or damaged insulation that could cause a short.
• Replace sensor: If the sensor appears shorted or damaged, replace the moisture sensor assembly.
• Use lower dryness level: Select a lower dryness setting or use timed dry until the issue is resolved.
