Possible Causes

Tripped house breaker, Faulty door switch, Defective Start button or UI board, Open thermal fuse on blower housing

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker before internal checks.

  • Check power supply: Verify the dryer is plugged in and the breaker is not tripped. Reset if necessary.
  • Test outlet: Plug in another device or use a multimeter to confirm voltage at the outlet.
  • Check door switch: Ensure the door is fully closed. Listen for a click when pressing the door switch by hand. Test with a multimeter and replace if faulty.
  • Inspect thermal fuse: Remove the rear panel and test the thermal fuse on the blower housing for continuity. Replace if open and also correct any venting issues that caused it to blow.
  • Control panel: If power and safety devices are good, the Start button or UI board may be defective. Enter service mode (if available) to test buttons, or replace the UI board if unresponsive.
