Possible Causes
Defective door switch, Misaligned door latch, Broken door strike, Loose harness connection at door switch
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the Café dryer or switch off the dedicated breaker before removing any panels.
This code typically indicates the control does not see the door as closed.
- Check door closure: Open and firmly close the door. Make sure no clothing is caught in the door seal and that the door feels fully latched.
- Inspect door strike and latch: Look at the plastic door strike on the door and the latch on the front panel. If the strike is cracked, loose, or missing, replace it. If the latch is bent or damaged, it must be replaced.
- Test door switch: With power disconnected, remove the top panel (usually a few screws at the back) and access the front panel area to locate the door switch. Disconnect the harness and test the switch with a multimeter for continuity when the button is pressed. Replace the switch if it does not change state.
- Check wiring harness: Inspect the harness from the door switch to the main control board (PCB) for loose connectors or damaged wires. Reseat connectors firmly.
- Reset power: Restore power and try starting a cycle again. If E01 persists after replacing the door switch/strike, the main control board may be faulty and should be diagnosed by a technician.
