Possible Causes
Broken drive belt, Belt slipped off idler pulley, Worn idler pulley, Misaligned drum
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dryer before opening any panels.
- Confirm symptom: Start a cycle and listen. If you hear the motor running but the drum does not turn, suspect a belt issue.
- Access belt: Remove the top panel, then the front panel to expose the drum. Carefully lift the drum front edge to view the belt.
- Inspect belt: If the belt is broken or frayed, remove it completely. If it has slipped off the motor or idler pulley, inspect for cause (worn idler, misrouted belt).
- Check idler pulley: Spin the idler pulley by hand. Replace it if noisy, loose, or seized.
- Install new belt: Route the new Café-compatible belt around the drum, through the idler pulley, and around the motor pulley according to the routing diagram (often on the cabinet or in the manual). Ensure proper tension.
- Reassemble: Reinstall the front and top panels, making sure the drum sits correctly on the rear rollers and front glides.
- Test: Restore power and run a test cycle to verify the drum tumbles and E07 is cleared.
