Possible Causes
Weak door magnet or latch, Misaligned door, Faulty door lock sensor on control board, Loose door switch wiring
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dryer before adjusting or removing panels.
- Inspect door alignment: Check that the door closes evenly and the gap around the door is uniform. Adjust the door hinges if the door is sagging.
- Check latch engagement: Ensure the door strike fully engages the latch. Replace a worn or bent strike.
- Test door switch: Access the door switch from behind the front panel and test it with a multimeter for proper operation. Replace if intermittent.
- Check wiring to control: Trace the door switch harness back to the main control board and reseat the connector.
- Control board sensor: If mechanical parts and wiring are good but E13 persists, the door sensing circuit on the control board may be faulty and the board may need replacement.
