Possible Causes

Faulty drum rotation sensor (if equipped), Loose or broken sensor wiring, Slipping belt causing incorrect speed feedback, Control board sensor input failure

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect power before accessing internal components.

  • Check belt tension: Remove the top and front panels to inspect the drive belt. Ensure it is tight and not slipping on the drum or motor pulley. Replace if worn or stretched.
  • Inspect rotation sensor: Some Café dryers use a sensor near the motor or idler to monitor drum rotation. Inspect the sensor and its wiring harness for damage or disconnection.
  • Clean sensor area: Remove lint and debris around the sensor and motor pulley that could interfere with sensing.
  • Test sensor: If accessible, test the sensor with a multimeter according to service documentation (often a Hall-effect or optical sensor). Replace if readings are out of spec.
  • Control board: If mechanical drive and sensor are good but E15 remains, the main control board may not be processing the signal correctly and may require replacement.
