Dryer shows E18; may not start or may stop with a click from the control

Safety first: No internal access is required initially; keep the dryer plugged in for control operations.

• Disable child lock: On Café dryers, press and hold the designated Child Lock or Control Lock buttons (often two specific keys) for 3–5 seconds until the lock icon disappears.
• Power cycle: If the lock will not clear, unplug the dryer for 5 minutes, then restore power and try again.
• Check user manual: Refer to the Café dryer manual for the exact key combination to toggle the lock feature.
• Control board issue: If the lock icon remains stuck and E18 persists despite correct key presses, the control board may have a software or keypad interpretation fault and may require replacement.
