Possible Causes

Blocked condensate pump, Failed condensate pump motor, Blocked water level sensor or float chamber, Kinked or blocked drain hose to water tank

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the dryer and be prepared for water spillage when opening the pump area.

Basic checks:

  • Empty the water tank: Remove and fully empty the top or front water container. Clean any slime or lint buildup.
  • Clean pump area: Access the lower front panel or side panel (model dependent) to reach the pump sump. Remove lint, coins, or debris that may block the pump impeller.
  • Check hoses: Inspect the small hoses from the sump to the tank for kinks or blockages. Flush with warm water if needed.
  • Test pump operation: With panels off and extreme caution, briefly power the dryer and listen for the pump running when water should be evacuated. If silent and supplied with power, the pump is likely faulty.

Repair: Replace the condensate pump with a compatible Candy unit if seized or open-circuit. Ensure all seals and hoses are correctly refitted to prevent leaks.
