Possible Causes

Stuck float switch in condensate tray, Blocked condensate channel, Faulty float switch sensor, Wiring fault to float switch

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect power and be prepared for water when opening the base.

Steps:

  • Access base tray: Tilt the dryer slightly (with help) and inspect the base for standing water. Some models have an access panel.
  • Drain water: Carefully sponge or siphon out water from the tray.
  • Clean float and channel: Locate the float device and ensure it moves freely. Remove lint or sludge from the channel leading to the tray.
  • Check switch: Test the float switch for correct operation with a multimeter (open/closed as float moves).

Reassemble, ensure the dryer is level, and test. If E13 returns, the float switch or control board input may need replacement by a technician.
