Possible Causes

Out-of-range sensor readings (NTC or humidity), Control board calibration error, Poor grounding of drum or sensor circuit

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the dryer.

Basic actions:

  • Clean moisture sensor bars and ensure good contact with laundry.
  • Check NTC sensors for correct resistance at room temperature.
  • Verify the earth/ground connection to the drum and chassis is secure.

Reset: After checks, disconnect power for 10 minutes, then reconnect and run a timed cycle. If E16 persists, the control board may require replacement or reprogramming by a Candy service center.
