Possible Causes
Blown mains fuse or tripped breaker, Faulty mains cable, Loose terminal block connections, Failed power supply section on main PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off the circuit breaker and unplug the dryer before inspecting electrical connections.
- Check household supply: Verify that the socket works by testing with another appliance. Reset any tripped breakers or replace blown fuses as appropriate.
- Inspect mains cable: Look for cuts, kinks, or burn marks on the power cord. Replace if damaged.
- Check terminal block: Remove the rear cover over the mains terminal block. Tighten any loose screws and inspect for heat damage. Replace burnt components.
- Examine main PCB: If the supply and cable are good, the internal power supply on the PCB may have failed. Look for burnt components or bulging capacitors. Replacement of the main PCB is usually required and should be done by a professional.
