Possible Causes
Dirty or coated moisture sensor bars inside drum, Broken or disconnected moisture sensor wiring, Faulty moisture sensor module, Defective main control PCB sensor circuit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect the appliance from the mains before accessing internal wiring. Cleaning the sensor bars inside the drum can be done with power off but without disassembly.
- Locate and clean sensor bars: Inside the drum, near the front, locate the two metal strips (moisture sensor bars). Clean them thoroughly with a soft cloth and a little white vinegar or mild detergent to remove fabric softener and detergent residues. Dry completely.
- Check for physical damage: Ensure the sensor bars are not cracked, loose, or bent away from their mounts.
- Inspect wiring: Remove the front panel (if required) to access the sensor wiring. Check for broken wires, loose connectors, or corrosion at the sensor terminals and where they connect to the control PCB.
- Test continuity: Use a multimeter to verify continuity from each sensor bar to the PCB connector. Repair or replace any damaged harness.
- Replace sensor assembly: If the bars and wiring are intact but E07 persists, replace the moisture sensor assembly or module with the correct Caple part.
- Re-test: Reassemble, restore power, and run an automatic drying program to confirm that the error is cleared and the dryer now senses dryness correctly.
