How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect the dryer from the mains before removing the top cover or control panel.

  • Access control area: Remove the top panel and then the control fascia as required to access the user interface board and main PCB.
  • Check connectors: Locate the ribbon cable or harness linking the UI board to the main PCB. Disconnect and reconnect both ends, ensuring they are fully seated and free from corrosion or bent pins.
  • Inspect for damage: Look for signs of moisture ingress, burnt components, or cracked solder joints on both boards.
  • Secure harness routing: Ensure the harness is not trapped or under tension which could cause intermittent disconnection.
  • Test operation: Reassemble enough to power the dryer safely and test. If E09 persists, one of the boards is likely faulty. Replacement of the main PCB or UI board should be carried out by a qualified technician, following Caple specifications.
