Possible Causes
Low or unstable mains voltage, Faulty power supply section on main PCB, Loose mains terminal block connections, Blown varistor or surge protection component on PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off the circuit breaker and unplug the dryer before accessing the rear terminal block or control board. Mains voltage is dangerous.
- Check mains outlet: Verify that the wall socket supplies the correct voltage using a suitable tester. Avoid using extension leads or multi-way adaptors.
- Inspect mains cable and terminal block: Remove the rear cover over the mains terminal block. Check for loose screws, burnt insulation, or discoloured terminals. Tighten connections and replace any damaged parts.
- Examine the PCB power section: With the control board exposed, look for burnt components, cracked tracks, or bulging capacitors in the power supply area. If any are found, the PCB should be replaced.
- Reset and test: After ensuring a stable supply and secure connections, reconnect power and test the dryer. If E10 persists, the main control PCB is likely defective and should be replaced by a professional.
