Possible Causes
Failed exhaust temperature sensor, Loose or corroded exhaust NTC connector, Damaged wiring from exhaust NTC to PCB, Faulty PCB analog input
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dryer before removing any panels.
- Locate exhaust NTC: On many Caple dryers, a separate NTC is fitted near the exhaust outlet or condenser air path. Access it via the rear or lower front panel.
- Inspect and clean: Ensure the sensor is not covered in lint or debris. Clean gently if necessary.
- Check wiring: Verify that the connector is firmly attached and that the wiring is not damaged or pinched.
- Measure resistance: Disconnect the sensor and measure its resistance at room temperature. Compare with Caple specifications or with the inlet NTC if similar. Replace the sensor if readings are open, shorted, or far out of range.
- Reassemble and test: After replacing or reseating the sensor, reassemble the dryer, restore power, and run a cycle to confirm that E11 is cleared.
