Dryer will not start or stops with E06; sometimes accompanied by unusual clicking from the control area.

Safety first: Disconnect the appliance from mains before opening the control panel. Capacitors on the board can retain charge; avoid touching bare solder joints.

• Power reset: Turn off the circuit breaker or unplug the dryer for at least 5 minutes. Reconnect and try to start a cycle. Transient faults may clear.
• Check supply voltage: Verify that the wall outlet provides correct voltage and that there are no signs of intermittent power (flickering lights, tripping breaker).
• Inspect control board: Remove the top cover and control panel fascia to access the main control board. Look for burnt components, cracked solder joints, or swollen capacitors.
• Check connectors: Reseat all connectors to the board, especially those for power input, motor, heater, and user interface. Ensure no pins are bent.
• Board replacement: If visual damage is present or E06 persists after checks, the control board is likely defective. Replace with the correct De Dietrich main PCB. Transfer any configuration jumpers as per service instructions. This repair is best done by a qualified technician.
