Possible Causes

Full water tank not seated correctly, Blocked condensate drain channel, Failed condensate pump (if equipped), Faulty water level float switch

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect power before removing panels or working near electrical components. Water and electricity are a dangerous combination.

  • Empty water tank: Remove and empty the condensate water tank. Rinse it to remove detergent residue. Reinsert it fully until it clicks into place.
  • Clean drain channel: Locate the condensate drain channel leading from the condenser to the tank or pump. Use a flexible brush or pipe cleaner to remove lint and sludge.
  • Check float switch: Some De Dietrich dryers use a float switch in the tank or sump. Inspect the float for free movement and clean any buildup. Test the switch with a multimeter for proper operation.
  • Condensate pump (if fitted): On models with a built-in pump, listen for pump operation when the tank is filling. If silent and the tank does not fill, the condensate pump may be faulty. Check for blockages in the pump inlet and outlet hoses.
  • Reset and test: After cleaning and reassembly, reconnect power and run a short cycle. If E10 persists, the level sensor or control board input may require professional diagnosis.
