Possible Causes

Blocked internal drain hose, Cracked condensate tray, Leaking pump or hose connection, Activated leak float switch in base

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect power and avoid contact with any standing water near electrical components. Tilt the dryer only when it is safe to do so.

  • Check for water in base: Carefully tilt the dryer slightly and look underneath for water. Some models have a leak float switch in the base that triggers E13 when water is present.
  • Dry the base: If water is found, absorb it with towels and allow the base to dry completely. Do not use the dryer until the source of the leak is identified.
  • Inspect hoses and tray: Remove side or rear panels to access the condensate tray, pump, and hoses. Look for cracks, loose clamps, or perished hoses. Replace any leaking condensate hose or tray.
  • Clean internal drain: Clear lint and sludge from the internal drain path between the condenser and the tray or pump.
  • Float switch: Test the leak float switch for proper operation with a multimeter. Replace the leak detection float switch if stuck or faulty.
