Dryer buttons are unresponsive or require very hard presses to work.

Safety first: Unplug the dryer before removing the control panel.

• Clean around buttons: Wipe the control panel with a slightly damp cloth to remove residue that may be affecting button travel.
• Inspect fascia and cable: Remove the top panel and gently release the control fascia. Check the ribbon cable connection to the user interface PCB and reseat it.
• Check for moisture: Look for signs of condensation or spills behind the panel. Dry thoroughly if present.
• Replace UI board: If specific buttons remain unresponsive, replace the user interface PCB or fascia assembly as a unit.
