Possible Causes
Damp lint in filter housing, Dirty condenser unit, Standing water in condensate system, Poor ventilation around dryer
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dryer before cleaning internal components.
- Clean lint filter housing: Remove the lint filter and use a vacuum and damp cloth to clean the housing thoroughly.
- Clean condenser and tank (if fitted): Remove and rinse the condenser unit. Empty and wash the condensate water tank with mild detergent, then dry.
- Dry the drum: Wipe the inside of the drum with a cloth dampened with a mild vinegar solution, then run an empty warm cycle to help dry and deodorize.
- Improve room ventilation: Ensure the dryer is in a well-ventilated area and that exhaust air is properly vented outside (for vented models).
