Possible Causes
Faulty start button on user interface, Door not fully closed, Failed door switch, Defective motor relay
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dryer before accessing the control panel or door switch.
- Confirm door closure: Ensure the door is fully closed and latched. Look for any obstruction around the door seal.
- Test door switch: Press the door switch plunger by hand; you should hear a click. If not, access the door switch from behind the front panel and test for continuity when pressed. Replace if faulty.
- Check start button: Remove the control fascia and test the start button for proper operation. If it does not register on the PCB or feels stuck, replace the user interface PCB or button assembly.
- Inspect motor relay: On the main control PCB, check the motor relay for signs of burning. If the relay does not close when start is pressed (requires electrical testing), the board may need replacement.
