Possible Causes
Broken or slipped drum belt, Seized idler pulley, Worn drum support rollers, Motor pulley damage
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before removing any panels. Beware of sharp metal edges inside the cabinet.
- Check drum movement: Open the door and spin the drum by hand. If it spins very freely with little resistance and the dryer shows E07, the drum belt may be broken.
- Access the belt: Remove the top panel and front panel to expose the drum. Inspect the belt around the drum. If it is broken, frayed, or off the motor pulley, it must be replaced and correctly routed.
- Inspect idler pulley and rollers: With the belt removed, spin the idler pulley and drum support rollers by hand. They should turn smoothly without grinding or wobble. Replace any that are noisy or seized.
- Check motor pulley: Ensure the motor pulley is firmly attached to the motor shaft and not cracked or loose.
- Install new belt: Fit a new Essentials-compatible drum belt around the drum, idler pulley, and motor pulley following the routing diagram (often printed inside the cabinet or in the manual). Reassemble and test.
