Possible Causes
Blocked condensate pump, Failed condensate pump motor, Blocked condensate hose, Faulty water level float switch
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dryer. Water and electricity are a dangerous combination; keep the area dry while working.
- Empty the water tank: Remove and empty the condensate water tank completely. Clean any slime or debris from the tank and float area.
- Check tank seating: Reinsert the tank fully until it clicks into place. A mis-seated tank can trigger E10.
- Inspect condensate pump area: Access the lower rear or side panel (model dependent) to reach the condensate pump. Look for lint, sludge, or scale blocking the pump inlet.
- Clean hoses: Disconnect the small rubber condensate hoses and flush them with warm water to remove blockages. Refit securely.
- Test pump and float switch: If you have a meter, test the float switch for proper open/closed operation as the float moves. If the pump receives power but does not run, replace the condensate pump assembly.
