Possible Causes
Blocked condenser unit, Dirty heat exchanger fins, Failed condenser NTC sensor, Blocked condenser fan
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dryer. Some edges around the condenser compartment can be sharp.
- Clean the condenser: Open the lower front flap and remove the condenser unit. Rinse thoroughly under running water to remove lint and dust. Allow to drain and dry before reinstalling.
- Vacuum air channels: Use a vacuum with a brush attachment to clean the air channels around the condenser compartment and any accessible heat exchanger fins.
- Check condenser fan: Access the condenser fan (usually from the rear or side). Ensure it spins freely and is not obstructed by lint. Clean the blades carefully.
- Inspect condenser NTC sensor: Locate the condenser NTC sensor on or near the heat exchanger. Check wiring and test resistance with a meter. Replace if open, shorted, or out of specification.
- Reassemble and test: Refit the condenser unit securely, restore power, and run a test cycle to confirm E13 is cleared.
