Possible Causes
Blocked condensate drain, Cracked condensate hose, Loose pump connection, Activated base tray float switch
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dryer. Water in the base can contact live parts; do not tip the dryer while plugged in.
- Check for visible leaks: Remove the lower front or side panel and inspect the base tray for standing water. Identify any dripping hoses or joints.
- Empty base tray: Carefully sponge or vacuum out the water from the base tray. Locate the base tray float switch and ensure it moves freely.
- Inspect condensate system: Follow the condensate hoses from the drum/condenser to the pump and tank. Clear any blockages and replace cracked hoses or loose clamps.
- Test after drying: Once leaks are corrected and the base is dry, reassemble, restore power, and run a short cycle while monitoring for new leaks.
