Safety first: Unplug the dryer and allow it to cool fully before working near the heater.

• Check basic settings: Ensure the cycle selected is not an air-only or cool cycle and that the temperature setting is not set to no heat.
• Test heating element: Access the heater housing (usually from the rear). Disconnect the heater terminals and measure resistance; infinite resistance indicates a failed element that must be replaced.
• Inspect thermal fuse and thermostats: Locate the thermal fuse and thermostats on the heater housing and exhaust duct. Test each for continuity. Replace any open device and investigate airflow issues that may have caused overheating.
• Check heater relay: On the main PCB, inspect the heater relay for burn marks. If the relay does not click when heat should be on, or contacts are burned, the board may need replacement.
• Verify supply voltage: Ensure the dryer is receiving full rated voltage; low voltage can prevent heating.
