Possible Causes
Open or shorted NTC sensor, Loose NTC wiring connector, Damaged wiring harness between NTC and PCB, Faulty main control board temperature circuit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dryer before removing any panels. Avoid pulling on wires directly.
- Locate the NTC sensor: On many Fagor dryers, the NTC is mounted on the heater housing or air duct (front or rear). Remove the rear or front panel as required.
- Inspect wiring: Check the NTC connector for corrosion, looseness, or heat damage. Reseat the connector firmly.
- Test the NTC: Disconnect the sensor and measure its resistance with a multimeter at room temperature. Compare to Fagor specifications (commonly around 5–20 kΩ at 25°C, but verify for your model). A reading of 0 Ω (short) or infinite (open) indicates a bad sensor.
- Check harness continuity: If the NTC tests good, test continuity from the NTC connector back to the main PCB connector. Repair or replace any damaged wires.
- Replace faulty parts: Install a new NTC sensor if defective. If wiring and sensor are good but E03 persists, the control board temperature input may be faulty and require replacement.
