Possible Causes
Blocked condenser pump filter, Failed condenser pump, Kinked or blocked drain hose inside the dryer, Faulty water level float switch
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dryer. Water inside the unit can create shock risk; keep the area dry.
- Empty water tank: Remove and empty the condensate water tank. Ensure it is seated correctly when reinstalled.
- Clean pump filter: Access the condenser compartment (usually via a lower front flap). Remove the condenser unit and locate the small pump filter or sump area. Clear lint, debris, and standing water.
- Check internal hoses: With the lower front panel removed, inspect the small rubber hoses from the sump to the pump and from the pump to the tank. Clear any blockages and ensure hoses are not kinked.
- Test pump operation: With the dryer partially reassembled and still safe to observe, plug in and start a cycle. Listen for the pump running when water should be evacuated. If silent, unplug and test the pump for continuity and supply voltage during operation.
- Inspect float switch: Some Fagor condenser dryers use a float switch in the sump. Check that the float moves freely and that the switch operates (continuity test). Replace if stuck or defective.
