Dryer displays E09 and will not start; sometimes occurs after a power surge or outage.

Safety first: Unplug the dryer before accessing the control panel. Static discharge can damage electronics; ground yourself before touching the PCB.

• Power reset: Disconnect the dryer from mains for at least 5 minutes. Press and hold the Start/Pause button for 10 seconds (if applicable) to discharge residual power, then reconnect and test.
• Inspect control connections: Remove the top panel and control panel fascia. Check all ribbon cables and connectors between the user interface board and main PCB. Reseat them firmly.
• Check for visible damage: Examine the PCB for burn marks, bulging capacitors, or cracked solder joints. Any visible damage usually requires board replacement.
• Firmware reset/update: Some Fagor models allow a service-mode reset or firmware update via a technician tool. Consult service documentation; this is typically a professional procedure.
• Replace PCB if necessary: If E09 persists after reseating connectors and power reset, the main control board or EEPROM is likely defective and must be replaced.
