Possible Causes
Clogged condenser unit, Blocked condenser air channels, Heavy lint buildup in lower housing, Faulty condenser fan (on some heat pump models)
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dryer. Condenser fins are sharp; handle with care.
- Remove and clean condenser: Open the lower front flap and slide out the condenser (heat exchanger). Rinse thoroughly under running water to remove lint and dust. Allow it to drain and dry before reinstalling.
- Clean housing: Use a vacuum and soft brush to clean the condenser compartment and air channels. Remove any lint mats blocking airflow.
- Check condenser fan (if equipped): On heat pump models, access the fan behind the condenser. Ensure it spins freely and is not obstructed. Replace the fan motor if seized or noisy.
- Reinstall correctly: Make sure the condenser is fully seated and the access door closes tightly to prevent air leaks.
- Run a test cycle: After cleaning, run a full drying cycle and monitor for improved performance and absence of E11.
