How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dryer. The sealed refrigeration system must only be serviced by certified technicians.
- Listen for compressor: Start a cycle and listen (with panels in place) for the compressor and fan operation. If neither runs, unplug and proceed with checks.
- Access electronics: Remove the side or rear panel to access the compressor relay and fan connections. Inspect for burned connectors or damaged wires.
- Check fan motor: Spin the heat pump fan by hand; it should move freely. Test the fan motor for continuity and replace if open or seized.
- Inspect PCB relays: Examine the main PCB for burned compressor relay contacts. Replace the board if damaged.
- Refrigerant issues: If the compressor runs but there is no heat and E15 persists, the sealed system may be low on refrigerant or blocked. This requires professional service; do not attempt to open the sealed system yourself.
