Dryer interior light does not turn on when door is opened

Safety first: Unplug the dryer before replacing the light or accessing wiring.

• 1. Replace bulb: Access the drum light cover inside the drum, remove it, and replace the bulb with the correct type specified by Fisher & Paykel.
• 2. Test door switch: If the new bulb does not light, test the door switch for proper operation, as it often controls the light circuit.
• 3. Inspect wiring: Check the light socket wiring for loose connections or damage. Repair as needed.
• 4. Control board: On models where the control board drives the light, a failed output may require control replacement if all other components are good.
