Possible Causes
Tripped circuit breaker, Blown internal thermal fuse, Faulty power cord or plug, Loose connections at terminal block
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off the breaker and unplug the dryer before inspecting electrical components. If unsure, consult an electrician.
- 1. Check breaker and outlet: Verify the dryer breaker is not tripped and the outlet has correct voltage using a multimeter.
- 2. Inspect power cord: Look for visible damage to the cord or plug. Replace if damaged.
- 3. Check terminal block: Remove the rear cover over the terminal block. Ensure all screws are tight and wires are not burned.
- 4. Test thermal fuse: Locate the thermal fuse (often on the blower housing or exhaust duct). With power disconnected, test for continuity. Replace if open.
- 5. Control board: If power is present at the terminal block and the thermal fuse is good, the main control or power filter board may have failed and require replacement.
