Possible Causes
Faulty door switch, Broken door strike, Failed start relay on control board, Loose wiring in door switch harness
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before working on the door or control circuits.
- 1. Check door closure: Ensure the door closes firmly and the latch engages. Replace a broken door strike if necessary.
- 2. Listen for click: Slowly close the door and listen for a click from the door switch. No click may indicate a failed or misaligned switch.
- 3. Test door switch: Access the door switch from behind the front panel. Disconnect the switch and test continuity with a multimeter. Replace if it does not change state when the door is opened/closed.
- 4. Inspect wiring: Check the harness from the door switch to the main control for damage or loose connectors. Repair as needed.
- 5. Control relay: If the door switch is good, the start relay on the control board may be faulty. This typically requires board replacement by a technician.
