Possible Causes
Blocked condenser pump, Clogged water level sensor or float switch, Kinked drain hose to water tank, Failed condenser pump motor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dryer. Water and electricity are a hazardous combination—ensure the unit is fully de-energized.
- 1. Empty water tank: Remove and empty the water collection tank (if equipped). Reinsert fully and ensure it seats correctly.
- 2. Clean condenser area: On condensing models, remove the condenser access panel and slide out the condenser unit. Rinse under running water to remove lint and debris. Allow to drain and reinstall.
- 3. Inspect pump and float: Access the lower rear or side panel to reach the condenser pump and water tray. Check for lint or debris blocking the pump inlet or float switch.
- 4. Test pump operation: With the dryer reassembled but panels still off, briefly restore power and start a cycle. Listen for the pump running when water should be evacuated. Immediately disconnect power after test.
- 5. Check hoses: Ensure the hose from the pump to the water tank or drain is not kinked or blocked.
- 6. Replace pump or float switch: If the pump does not run or is noisy and ineffective, replace the condenser pump assembly. If the float switch is stuck or faulty, replace it as well.
- 7. Final test: Reassemble, restore power, and run a full cycle to confirm E11 is cleared and water is being pumped correctly.
