Possible Causes
Blocked condenser fins, Lint buildup in condenser air channels, Failed condenser fan motor, Obstructed intake or exhaust grilles
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before removing any access panels. Some edges around the condenser can be sharp.
- 1. Access condenser: Open the condenser access door (usually at the front bottom) and remove the condenser/heat exchanger unit.
- 2. Clean thoroughly: Rinse the condenser under low-pressure running water from the rear to the front to push lint out. Do not use sharp tools that could damage fins. Allow to drain fully.
- 3. Inspect air paths: Check the air channels leading to and from the condenser for lint buildup. Vacuum or brush out debris.
- 4. Check condenser fan: Access the internal condenser fan (rear or side panel removal may be required). Ensure the fan spins freely and is not obstructed by lint.
- 5. Test fan motor: With power briefly restored, start a cycle and verify the condenser fan runs. If it does not, disconnect power and replace the fan motor.
- 6. Reassemble and test: Reinstall the clean condenser, close access panels, restore power, and run a test cycle. Confirm improved drying and that E12 does not reappear.
