• Access the outlet thermistor:
  • Remove the rear panel or lower front panel depending on model.
  • Locate the outlet thermistor on or near the blower housing or exhaust duct.
• Inspect wiring:
  • Check the thermistor connector for looseness, corrosion, or burnt marks.
  • Ensure the harness is not pinched or broken.
• Test thermistor:
  • Disconnect the thermistor wires.
  • Measure resistance at room temperature with a multimeter.
  • Compare to Frigidaire specifications for your model; replace if open, shorted, or out of range.
• Check continuity to control board:
  • Ohm the wires from the thermistor connector back to the main control board to confirm no breaks.
• Replace parts as needed:
  • If thermistor and wiring are good, the main control board may have a failed sensor circuit and need replacement.
