Frigidaire dryer beeps and displays E68; buttons may not respond correctly or cycles start/stop unexpectedly.

Safety First: Disconnect power before removing the control panel or console.

• Power reset:
  • Unplug the dryer for 5 minutes and plug back in to clear any temporary glitch.
• Check for stuck keys:
  • Press each button individually and feel for normal travel and click.
  • If a key feels stuck, gently work it free and clean around it with a slightly damp cloth (dryer unplugged).
• Clean console:
  • Wipe the control panel with a soft cloth lightly dampened with water; avoid spraying cleaner directly on the panel.
• Access UI board:
  • Remove the top panel and then the console screws.
  • Inspect the UI board and ribbon cable for corrosion, cracks, or burnt spots.
• Replace UI board:
  • If E68 persists and a specific key is always active or unresponsive, replace the user interface control board.
