How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety First: Immediately stop the dryer, unplug it, and for gas models shut off gas. Do not continue to run the dryer until the cause is found.
- Inspect belt and drum:
- Remove front panel and check the belt for glazing, cracks, or burning.
- Replace the belt if damaged.
- Check heater area:
- Remove rear panel and inspect heater housing for lint on or near the element; clean thoroughly.
- Inspect motor:
- Smell near the motor; if there is a strong electrical or burnt odor and the motor is very hot, the motor may be failing and should be replaced.

- Inspect the power cord connections at the terminal block for burnt wires or melted plastic; repair or replace as needed.
