Frigidaire dryer powers on but will not start; displays normal but Start button does nothing.

Safety First: Unplug the dryer before removing the console or control panel.

• Check control lock:
  • Look for a control lock icon on the display.
  • Press and hold the designated key combination (often "Options" and "Select" or similar) for 3–5 seconds to toggle control lock off (see user manual).
• Try different cycles:
  • Select a different cycle and press Start to rule out a specific cycle issue.
• Inspect UI connections:
  • Remove the top panel and console.
  • Check the ribbon cable and connectors between the UI and main control board.
• Test Start button:
  • On some models, you can test the Start button contacts with a multimeter; replace the UI board if the switch is open when pressed.
