Frigidaire dryer produces a grinding or scraping noise, especially at the front of the drum.

Safety First: Unplug the dryer before servicing.

• Inspect front of drum:
  • Open the door and look for metal shavings or worn paint at the front edge of the drum.
• Access front glides:
  • Remove the front panel and front bulkhead.
  • Inspect the plastic or Teflon glides and felt seal.
• Replace worn components:
  • If glides are worn through or missing, replace the glide kit.
  • If the felt seal is torn or missing sections, replace the felt seal using high-temperature adhesive as specified by Frigidaire.
• Check for debris:
  • Remove any foreign objects between the drum and front bulkhead.
