How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety First: Unplug the dryer before servicing.
- Inspect front of drum:
- Open the door and look for metal shavings or worn paint at the front edge of the drum.
- Access front glides:
- Remove the front panel and front bulkhead.
- Inspect the plastic or Teflon glides and felt seal.
- Replace worn components:
- If glides are worn through or missing, replace the glide kit.
- If the felt seal is torn or missing sections, replace the felt seal using high-temperature adhesive as specified by Frigidaire.
- Check for debris:
- Remove any foreign objects between the drum and front bulkhead.
