Frigidaire dryer shuts off before clothes are dry when using automatic (sensor) cycles, but works on timed dry.

Safety First: Unplug the dryer before accessing wiring.

• Clean sensor bars:
  • Locate the metal moisture sensor bars inside the drum.
  • Clean thoroughly with rubbing alcohol and a non-abrasive pad.
• Avoid dryer sheets:
  • Reduce or eliminate dryer sheet use, which can coat the sensors.
• Inspect wiring:
  • Access the back of the sensor assembly (usually behind the front panel).
  • Check for loose or broken wires.
• Test sensor:
  • With the dryer unplugged, disconnect the sensor and test continuity when bridging the bars with a damp cloth.
  • Replace the sensor assembly if it does not respond.
