Possible Causes
Worn or damaged touch panel, Loose ribbon cable, Faulty user interface PCB, Moisture ingress into control panel
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dryer before removing the control panel.
- Power reset: Disconnect power for a few minutes and reconnect to rule out a temporary software glitch.
- Inspect control panel: Remove the top cover and gently remove the control fascia. Check the ribbon cable between the touch panel and UI board.
- Check for moisture: Look for signs of condensation or spills inside the panel. Dry thoroughly if present.
- Test buttons: If using mechanical buttons, test them with a multimeter for continuity when pressed. Replace the UI board or fascia if defective.
- Reassemble and test: After reseating cables or replacing parts, test all functions.
