Possible Causes
Broken drive belt, Belt slipped off motor pulley, Seized idler pulley, Worn drum support rollers increasing load
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dryer before disassembly.
- Check drum movement: Open the door and try to rotate the drum by hand. If it spins freely but does not move during operation, suspect the belt.
- Access belt: Remove the top and front panel to expose the drum and belt.
- Inspect belt: If the belt is broken or off the pulleys, replace it with the correct Gaggenau belt. Route it around the motor pulley and idler as per the belt diagram.
- Check idler and rollers: Spin the idler pulley and drum rollers. Replace any that are noisy or seized to prevent premature belt failure.
- Reassemble and test: Refit panels, restore power, and run a test cycle to confirm proper drum rotation.
