Possible Causes

Foreign object trapped between drum and housing, Worn or seized drum roller, Seized idler pulley, Collapsed rear drum bearing

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the dryer before inspection.

  • Check for obvious obstructions: Open the door and inspect the drum opening and front seal for trapped clothing, bra wires, coins, or other objects. Remove any debris.
  • Manually rotate drum: Turn the drum by hand. If you feel scraping, grinding, or binding, note the location.
  • Access drum supports: Remove the top and front panel to expose the drum, front felt seal, and support rollers. Inspect rollers for flat spots, wobble, or seized bearings. Replace worn rollers in pairs.
  • Inspect idler pulley and belt: Check that the idler pulley spins freely and the belt is correctly tensioned. Replace a seized idler or frayed belt.
  • Rear bearing (if equipped): On models with a rear drum bearing, inspect for excessive play or metal shavings. Replace the bearing kit if worn.
  • Reassemble and test: After clearing obstructions and replacing worn parts, reassemble and run a test cycle. If E07 returns with free drum movement, further electronic diagnosis may be required.
