Possible Causes

Dirty or coated moisture sensor bars, Broken moisture sensor wiring, Faulty moisture sensor module, Control board sensor circuit fault

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect power before working inside the drum.

  • Locate moisture sensor bars: Typically two metal strips inside the drum near the lint filter opening or on the front bulkhead.
  • Clean sensor bars: Using a soft cloth and a bit of white vinegar or mild detergent, scrub the bars to remove fabric softener and detergent residue. Rinse with a damp cloth and dry.
  • Inspect wiring: From behind the front panel, locate the moisture sensor harness. Ensure connectors are secure and wires are not broken.
  • Test sensor continuity: With a multimeter, check continuity across the sensor terminals while bridging the bars with a damp cloth. If no change is detected, replace the sensor assembly.
  • Control board: If the sensor and wiring are good but E08 persists, the control's moisture sensing circuit may be defective and require board replacement.
