Possible Causes
Blocked condensate pump, Clogged condensate hose, Failed condensate pump motor, Faulty water level float switch
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power. Be prepared for water spillage when opening the base.
- Check condensate container (if applicable): If your model has a removable water tank, empty it completely and reinsert it properly.
- Inspect drain hose (if plumbed): Ensure the drain hose is not kinked, blocked, or installed too high above the dryer.
- Access condensate pump: Remove the lower front kick panel or rear panel to reach the pump assembly in the base tray.
- Clean pump and float: Remove lint, sludge, and debris from the pump reservoir and float switch area. Make sure the float moves freely.
- Test pump operation: With the dryer unplugged, disconnect the pump and check resistance across the motor terminals. If open, replace the pump. If resistance is normal, briefly power the pump with appropriate mains voltage (only if you are qualified) to confirm operation.
- Reassemble and test: After cleaning and any part replacement, reassemble, restore power, and run a cycle. If E10 returns, the level sensor or control board may need further diagnosis.
