How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before opening the control compartment.
- Power reset: Unplug the dryer for at least 10 minutes to allow the control to fully discharge, then reconnect and test.
- Check supply voltage: Ensure the dryer is connected to a stable power source with correct voltage. Avoid using undersized extension cords.
- Inspect control board: Remove the top panel and visually inspect the main PCB for burn marks, swollen components, or corrosion.
- Factory reset (if available): Consult the user manual for any key combination that performs a factory reset. Perform it if possible.
- Board replacement: If E14 persists, the control board's memory may be corrupted. Replace the main control board with the correct Gaggenau part number. Transfer any configuration jumpers as per service documentation.
