Possible Causes

Failed touchpad membrane, Cracked control panel, Loose ribbon cable between keypad and UI board, Liquid spill into console

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the dryer before opening the console.

Step-by-step checks:

  • Inspect console: Look for cracks, warping, or signs of liquid intrusion around the control panel.
  • Access keypad ribbon: Remove the screws securing the console and gently tilt it forward. Locate the keypad ribbon cable and ensure it is fully seated in the connector.
  • Clean contacts: If accessible, gently clean the ribbon contacts with isopropyl alcohol and reinsert.
  • Test buttons: After reassembly, plug in the dryer and test each button. If certain keys remain unresponsive and E14 persists, the keypad/control panel assembly must be replaced.

Warning: Do not spray cleaners directly onto the control panel; spray onto a cloth first to avoid liquid intrusion.
