Possible Causes
Open outlet thermistor, Broken thermistor wiring, Unplugged thermistor connector, Failed main control board sensor input
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dryer and allow it to cool.
Step-by-step checks:
- Locate thermistor: Find the outlet thermistor on the exhaust duct or blower housing.
- Check connector: Ensure the thermistor connector is fully seated and not corroded.
- Measure resistance: Disconnect the thermistor and measure resistance at room temperature. An open (OL) reading indicates a failed sensor.
- Replace thermistor: Install a new OEM thermistor if open or out of spec. Reconnect wiring securely.
- Control board: If the thermistor and wiring are good, the main control board may be defective.
Note: Refer to the tech sheet for exact resistance values at various temperatures.
